Egypt's Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly has held a meeting with senior government officials to review the state strategies for digital transformation and attracting investment in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector, the Cabinet announced. Discussions focused on collaboration between the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, as well as the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, to support Egypt's digitalisation plans and to boost investment in the ICT sector. Talks also highlighted progress in advancing international cooperation with bilateral and multilateral partners, aiming to maximise the use of technology in development, while facilitating the exchange of expertise in ICT. The meeting highlighted plans to enhance collaboration with international partners, launch training programmes for digital skills, and support ICT start-ups for a more innovation-friendly ecosystem.
