Egypt's Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly on Tuesday held a meeting to follow up on progress reports of electricity transformer station projects in cities under the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) in partnership with the private sector. According to the Cabinet, five transformer stations have been approved for construction in 10th of Ramadan and New Cairo, and contracts have already been awarded. In addition, six usufruct projects for transformer stations have been greenlighted in New Mansoura, New Aswan, New October, Sadat, and 6th of October. Five further construction projects were approved in 6th of October, Sheikh Zayed, New Borg El Arab, and 10th of Ramadan. The Cabinet emphasised that these projects are being implemented and supervised in line with technical plans approved by the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC).
