Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly reviewed on Monday progress on the Terminal 4 project at Cairo International Airport in a meeting with Civil Aviation Minister Sameh Hefny. Madbouly said the new terminal is one of the country's strategic projects that will mark a qualitative leap in services and infrastructure at the airport, adding that it is expected to serve as a pioneering model in airport design and operation worldwide. The capacity of the new terminal is 30 million passengers annually, raising the airport's total capacity to 60 million passengers per year. The project also adheres to global safety, security, and environmental sustainability standards. The plan includes the construction of a new runway equipped with advanced navigation and ground lighting systems, expansive car parks fully covered with solar panels, seamless links to a modern road network, and support and operations facilities designed according to international standards. Hefny added that the terminal will incorporate the latest smart technologies, positioning it among the most advanced passenger terminals worldwide. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English Subediting: M.
