Egypt has gained access to the Peruvian market for its strawberry seedlings following quarantine negotiations between the two countries, the agriculture ministry said on Thursday. Agriculture Minister Alaa Farouk said the deal reflected Egypt's efforts to expand agricultural exports and strengthen its international reputation for quality produce. The move makes Peru the second Latin American country to open its market to Egyptian strawberry seedlings this year, after Brazil granted access earlier in 2025, the ministry added.
