Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has renewed the mandate of Hassan Abdalla as acting governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) for one year, according to a presidential decree published in the Official Gazette on Monday. The decision, issued under Decree No. 435 of 2025, extends Abdalla's tenure until Aug. 18, 2026.
