Egypt's Ministry of Health on Sunday reported providing 30,077,212 medical and therapeutic services nationwide between January and June 2025, across public, central, and specialised hospitals, the Cabinet said. The announcement highlights the ministry's efforts to improve healthcare quality and meet citizens' needs. Around 4,422,867 citizens benefited from imaging services, including X-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds, MRIs, and mammograms, while 33,731 patients received endoscopy services and 150,745 dialysis sessions were conducted. Peter Wagih, Assistant Minister of Health, reported that hospitals performed 733,603 surgeries, with 131,608 patients in intensive care and 49,592 cases in neonatal care units, according to the announcement. The report noted that 27 training courses were organised for medical staff, covering infection control, quality, neonatal congenital defects, obstetric care, preeclampsia, endocrine disorders, and gastrointestinal endoscopy. The ministry emphasised its commitment to developing the healthcare system through infrastructure improvements, staff training, and comprehensive medical services across Egypt, the statement added.
