Egypt's Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Sherif El Sherbiny announced on Sunday the launch of the second phase of Beitak Fe Masr Initiative, which targets Egyptian expatriates with around 3,000 residential, administrative, and commercial units across 19 projects in 12 cities. The rollout will take place in three stages scheduled for September, October, and November 2025. Speaking during the sixth Egyptian diaspora conference, El Sherbiny said the initiative aims to offer diverse property options that cater to different income groups. It follows a successful first phase that included over 5,000 units, some available for immediate delivery and others under construction. The initiative offers exclusive incentives for Egyptians abroad, including discounts ranging from 3 to 10 per cent off market prices and payment plans of up to 10 years. El Sherbiny also highlighted the tenth phase of Beit Al Watan programme, which provides land plots and housing units for expatriates. Launched in July 2024 with nearly 3,000 plots and 1,377 units, the offer was expanded in early 2025 to nearly 15,000 plots due to strong demand, reflected in over 14,000 fund transfers. He added that the ministry was working to offer additional phases and more land plot options in new cities, aiming to meet growing demand and enhance foreign currency inflows through real estate investment.
