Barwa Bank Announces Senior Management Changes

Barwa Bank, Qatar's fastest growing Shari'ah compliant banking service provider recently announcdaseries of changes to its leadership team including the promotions of Khalid Al-Ahbabi to General Manager, Wholesale & Business Banking and Hussainal-Abdulla to General Manager, Personal Banking & Wealth Management, a new role for Keith Bradley as Group Chief Operating Officer & General Manager International as well as the appointment of Nasser Mohamad Al-Hajirias Chief Administrative Officer.

Prior to joining Barwa Bank, Khalid Al-Ahbabi has over twelve years of diverse experience across all segments of banking including Retail, Commercial, Corporate, Investment and Islamic Banking. He started out with HSBC, where he worked in Global Banking and Islamic Banking at HSBC Amanah. Khalid was then the Head of Al Kaliji Commercial Bank's Islamic Branch where he set up the Corporate, Premier and Islamic Treasury businesses. Khalid received his diploma in Corporate Banking form the IFS School of Finance in UK.
Hussain Al Abdullah, with nearly twelveyears' experience in banking and finance, has expertise in many areas of products and services for all of the different retail customer segments. He worked as a Head of Retail in HSBC bank and his experience covers retail, operation, and corporate. Hussain hold degrees in Engineering and Business Management.
A recent appointment to Barwa Bank, Nasser Mohamad Al Hajiri has over eight years of experience in HR and Change Management, dealing with a broad variety of issues including recruitment, organizational development and creating competence-based development programmes to support nationalisation programs. Nasser's work has focused on the Oil & Gas Industries within the State of Qatar where he has worked for Qatar Petrochemical Co. (QAPCO) & Maersk Oil. Nasser received his Bachelor's in Manufacturing Engineering with Management from Coventry University, UK. He also obtained a MBA from University of Hull, UK and is currently enrolled for his DBA in USA.
In addition, Keith Bradley has been named Group Chief Operating Officer & General Manager International. With more than twenty years' experience, Keith was the Head of Corporate Banking for HSBC in the Middle East before joining Barwa Bank. Keith holds an undergraduate degree from The University of Oxford and an MBA from Brunel University.
