Egypt's Customs Authority (ECA) and the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) have honoured the top graduates of five distinguished customs clearance training courses, as per an official statement on Tuesday. This reflects the interest of the Ministry of Finance and the ECA in developing the customs system in a comprehensive and integrated manner, and contributes to raising the efficiency of customs performance. Ahmed Amawi, ECA's head, said the authority places strong emphasis on training and capacity building, with a focus on preparing a new generation of customs professionals to lead institutional development. He stressed that enhancing human capital is a core pillar of the authority's modernisation strategy, directly contributing to better performance indicators, streamlined procedures, and reduced customs clearance times.
