Egypt's Minister of Social Solidarity Maya Morsy on Tuesday witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Nasser Social Bank (NSB) and Ahl Masr Hospital to support the treatment of burn victims across the country. The agreement aims to strengthen the hospital's capacity to provide comprehensive and free medical care to burn patients. Minister Morsy, who also chairs the bank's board, said the step reflects a shared commitment to social responsibility and healthcare support. "This collaboration brings renewed hope to thousands of burn victims and reinforces our role in backing initiatives that make a meaningful impact on Egyptian lives," she stated. The partnership includes awareness campaigns and training programmes to prevent domestic and industrial burn injuries. The bank has previously provided over 40 million pounds to Ahl Masr Foundation to cover treatment costs and medical equipment, according to NSB's Ahmed Attia. Heba El Sewedy, Chair of Ahl Masr's Board of Trustees, welcomed the deal and praised the government's sustained support for a cause that affects "thousands of Egyptian families." Nasser Social Bank officials said the partnership aligns with Egypt's sustainable development goals and serves as a model for socially responsible cooperation between financial and healthcare institutions.
