Egypt's Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI) signed a cooperation protocol with the Egyptian Aviation Academy (EAA) Holding Company to locally produce advanced aviation training tools, the Cabinet said in a statement on Wednesday. The agreement, signed through AOI's electronics factory, aims to reduce reliance on imported simulators and support Egypt's goal of achieving self-sufficiency in high-tech training equipment for the civil aviation sector. According to the statement, the protocol is designed to elevate training standards for aviation personnel, positioning Egypt as a regional hub for specialised aviation training. The agreement also targets international accreditation for the locally manufactured simulators and their future global marketing. AOI Chairman Mokhtar Abdel Latif thanked the Ministry of Civil Aviation for its support and reaffirmed AOI's commitment to localising technology, expanding domestic manufacturing, and promoting the "Made in Egypt" label. The partnership will provide comprehensive training solutions and aviation science simulators, including systems for air traffic control, tailored to the needs of the EAA. The simulators will be developed using advanced design and production technologies at competitive prices, the statement said. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English Subediting: Y.Yasser
