The Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement, Medical Supply and the Management of Medical Technology has signed contracts with German company Ottobock to furnish and equip six prosthetics workshops across the country, according to a Cabinet statement. The centres—located in Beheira, Ismailia, Sharqia, Assiut, Luxor, and Aswan—will be outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment for the production of prosthetic limbs and assistive devices as part of a first-phase initiative under the Ministry of Social Solidarity. Ottobock, a global leader in prosthetic technologies, will provide advanced tools and technical expertise to support the development of these facilities. The partnership aims to enhance local capabilities in prosthetics manufacturing and improve services for individuals with disabilities. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English Subediting: M. S. Salama
