Egypt's Civil Aviation Minister, Sameh El Hefny, met with a delegation from global air transport communications and information technology firm SITA to discuss collaboration on advancing digital solutions in the aviation sector, the Egyptian Cabinet reported on Sunday. The talks focused on SITA's latest technologies, including enhanced e-booking systems, self-service solutions to improve passenger experience, and the use of artificial intelligence in big data analysis to optimise airport operations. Discussions also covered cybersecurity measures to protect airline and passenger data, as well as advanced baggage tracking systems to reduce lost luggage rates. El Hefny highlighted Egypt's commitment to digital transformation in aviation, aiming to boost operational efficiency and service quality in line with global standards. He emphasised that upgrading airport technology infrastructure is crucial to keeping pace with the rapidly evolving aviation industry and strengthening Egypt's competitiveness regionally and internationally.
