Senior sources told Amwal Al Ghad that Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab, Former CEO of the Arab Contractors Company is the first candidate to take over the Housing Ministry after Dr. Tarek Wafiq, , who refused to take the office again.
The source added it is scheduled for Mahlab to attend in the Ministry's headquarters in order to meet the Prime Minister Hazim Al- Beblawi, explaining that the integration between the Utilities and Housing Ministries will make Mahlab be qualify to take over the Housing and Utilities, especially he has nominated to be the Minister in Hesham Kandil's government.
An official source in New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) has asserted that Dr. Wafiq is quite far from the Housing Ministry especially after his refusal to take over the position again due to his belonging to Muslim Brotherhood, which refused to make their elements participate in the current government.
