Egypt's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in collaboration with UNESCO, launched on Monday the first activities of the AI Readiness Assessment using Readiness Assessment Methodology (RAM), which aims to evaluate Egypt's preparedness for the sustainable and responsible adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), supporting national policies and strategies in this vital field. The first national stakeholder consultation sessions have commenced, focusing on four key areas where AI plays a crucial role: policies and legislation, cultural and social domains, science, research and infrastructure, and the economic sector. The consultations bring together a diverse group of stakeholders, including representatives from the public and private sectors, academia, civil society, and young entrepreneurs.
