Egypt's Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar is eager to strengthen collaboration with South Korea in the health sector, highlighting their long-standing historical relationship, the Egyptian Cabinet stated. He commended South Korea's Ambassador to Egypt, Kim Yong-hyun, for promoting bilateral cooperation, and reiterated Egypt's dedication to enhancing its medical industries and attracting investments in the healthcare sector. The minister also showcased Egypt's achievements in pharmaceutical manufacturing and medical equipment production, stressing the importance of exchanging expertise and collaborating in these fields to achieve mutual benefits. Discussions focused on improving cooperation in medical training programmes, such as providing training for Egyptian doctors in South Korea and increasing scholarships for Egyptian medical professionals to study at Korean universities. Ambassador Kim expressed his appreciation for Egypt's efforts to develop its health sector and reiterated South Korea's commitment to strengthening cooperation in medical industries, the statement added. He noted that Korean companies possess extensive experience in manufacturing medical equipment and supplies, positioning them to contribute effectively to Egypt's healthcare sector.
