Conference on the Small and Medium Enterprises entitled ‘The Innovative Financing Mechanisms For SMEs in Egypt' has kicked off under the sponsorship of the Egyptian Business Development Association (EBDA) . Egypt's Minister of Investment Yahia Hamed and EBDA Chairman Hassan Malek are attending the conference. A number of the key local banks' chairmen are among the attendees, notably Sayed El-Kosayer – Chairman of the Industrial Development and Workers Bank of Egypt (IDBE) and Mohamed Ashmawy - chairman of United Bank. EBDA's conference plans to tackle the crucial role of the banking sector in Egypt in supporting the SMEs and available and new financing tools.
