Russia and China are committed to strategically developing and diversifying their bilateral trade relationship, according to Russian Federation Council Deputy Chairman Nikolay Zhuravlyov. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Made in Russia exhibition in Chengdu, Zhuravlyov emphasised the significant potential for growth in trade between the two countries. "Over the past four years, we have managed to double our trade turnover, and this is far from the limit," he said. Zhuravlyov highlighted the increasing exports of Russian agricultural products, chemical products, and mineral fertilisers to China. In particular, Russian food exports to China surged by more than 50 per cent last year. Both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping have set ambitious goals for bilateral trade, aiming to significantly increase trade volume, financial and industrial cooperation, and technological collaboration. The Made in Russia festival fair, held from November 11 to 17 in Chengdu, showcases a wide range of Russian products, including food, cosmetics, and handicrafts.
