Cairo Criminal Court has adjourned the corruption trial of Mubarak-era interior minister Habib El-Adly until 14 August. The adjournment was made after a request by the defendant's lawyers. El–Adly is accused of illicitly acquiring LE181 million worth of land and property. In May 2012, El-Adly was convicted of money laundering and profiteering, for which he was handed a 12-year jail sentence. In March 2013, the Court of Cassation overturned the conviction and ordered a retrial. Source : Ahram
