DHL, the world's leading cross-border express services provider, is targeting injecting fresh investments in the Egyptian market estimated at EGP 200 million within the years of 2013 and 2014, said the General Manager on Monday. Amr Tantawi, General Manager of DHL Egypt, told Amwal Al Ghad that the firm is seeking to increase its volume of businesses for the current year. Therefore, DHL is currently in talks with the Egyptian Finance Ministry over the means of developing the country's Customs Authority through speeding up the shipping process. DHL's talks with the ministry would tackle other countries' successful expertise in customs shipping for the firm aims to boost its businesses, he noted. Tantawi further stated that DHL is currently outlining its upcoming investments as regard to developing the Customs Authority in cooperation with the ministry, adding that those investments would be pumped within the coming two years. Moreover, Tantawi said DHL locates in almost 223 countries across the globe and always seeks to meet its world-wide customers' requirements through offering various alluring services. In Egypt, Tantawi pointed out that DHL has around 40 branches across the governorates.
