The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) will direct its investment to boost clean energy projects in Egypt through Nexus on Water, Food and Energy Programme (NWFE), its Vice President, Policy and Strategy Danny Alexander, said. Alexander made his remarks on Monday answering a question by Amwal Al Ghad Magazine, saying that AIIB is proud to be a part of NWFE partnership, which works with other multilateral development banks to reduce Egypt's carbon emissions. Egypt's country Platform NWFE aims to mobilise climate finance and private investments from multiple international financing institutions to accelerate the national climate agenda and support the country's green transition, Alexander added.
