Remittances from Egyptians working abroad surged 13.2 percent year-on-year during the financial year 2020/2021 ended last June, a central bank provisional data showed on Monday. Remittances recorded $31.4 billion from $27.8 billion in the July 2019 to June 2020. A key source of foreign currency for Egypt, remittances also climbed 15.5 percent year-on-year in June to about $2.9 billion compared with $2.6 billion last year.
