Egypt launches website for vaccination registration
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 25 - 01 - 2021

Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population launched on Sunday a website for people to register for vaccinations as authorities prepare to begin rolling out COVID-19 shots for the general public after a first phase of inoculating top priority groups.
The website comes in conjunction with the start of Egypt's campaign to vaccinate medical teams with the first dose of China's Sinopharm vaccine.
The ministry unveiled last month that targeted groups will be registered for vaccinations through an online application. This system, linked to a specific operating system, is including medical staff in isolation, fever and chest hospitals in its first stage.
A ministry statement explained that all information related to the vaccination programme will be made available to citizens, with doses provided to medical teams in their hospitals after registering online and followed up to ensure that the second dose is received after 21 days.
