Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank – Egypt (ADCB Egypt) has received "The Most Promising Trademark Award" in the Egyptian banking sector for 2020 from the World Union of Arab Bankers.
Ihab El Sewerky, Chairman and Managing Director of the ADCB Egypt Bank, has received the award at a ceremony held in Beirut, Lebanon on Friday with the presence of prominent regional and international banking figures. Award winners have been chosen for providing excellent and quality service to their customers.
The award comes in recognition of ADCB Egypt's outstanding performance shortly after entering the Egyptian market last August besides its ambitious strategy which includes offering unique electronic banking services and products, aiming to play an integral role in the Central Bank of Egypt's financial inclusion plan.
ADCB Egypt is part of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), the fifth largest lender in the Gulf, which entered the Egyptian market in August following a merger with Union National Bank (UNB-Egypt) and an acquisition of Sharia-compliant lender Al Hilal Bank.
ADCB has ranked third in the United Arab Emirates and fifth among the Gulf banks in terms of offering a variety of integrated high-end banking services and activities for clients' needs.
On May 28, ADCB was awarded Global Finance's "The Innovator 2020" in the Middle East for its transaction banking capabilities under cash management, payments, and trade finance.
Also, the bank has won other awards in various fields, including personal and commercial business banking services, besides mid-corporate banking services.
In 2019, ADCB was named the Middle East's best bank for SMEs 2019 by Euromoney. It also received the Best Trade Finance Services Award by Global Finance's 2019 World's Best Digital Bank Awards.
