Egypt's Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly met International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Johannesburg on Saturday, ahead of two key programme reviews scheduled for early December. The discussions focused on the progress of Cairo's IMF-backed reform programme, with the fifth and sixth reviews set to assess the country's economic trajectory and reform implementation. Egypt has been seeking to strengthen investor confidence and maintain macroeconomic stability amid global uncertainties. According to an Egyptian Cabinet statement, Madbouly and Georgieva also highlighted positive economic trends, including rising foreign reserves, stronger private-sector investment, and faster growth in productive sectors.
