Emir of Tabuk Prince Fahd Bin Sultan distributed the first installment of financial compensation among owners of real estates that are part of the first phase of the NEOM Project at a ceremony held at the emirate office on Monday, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Prince Fahd emphasized the keenness of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the success of programs and projects associated with it, saying that they are progressing with a steady and strong pace, whether in the Tabuk region or other regions of the Kingdom.
He announced about the Crown Prince's directives to allot free plots of land to all those citizens who are covered under the compensation in the coastal area, the Duba governorate and the Tabuk city, in addition to a number of social and economic packages.
Moreover, NEOM Company has been instructed to prepare a program to attract citizens of the region to undergo training courses that would be instrumental for them to qualify to take up jobs in these projects.
The Emir underscored the citizens' love for their country as well as the cohesion among them. He also highlighted their adherence to the teachings of the true religion and their original customs and traditions in addition to the Shariah law.
At the end of the speech, Prince Fahd handed over to the beneficiaries the compensation allocated to them and additional grants aimed at improving their standard of living, saying that the compensation will be disbursed in installments during the coming weeks.
The $500 billion integrated NEOM smart city is expected to bring about prosperity to the northwestern region of Saudi Arabia with more education, development and jobs for the local people.
