Bridgewave Communications Expands Partnerships In Middle East
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 15 - 10 - 2012

BridgeWave Communications, the leading supplier of 4G millimeter wave backhaul solutions, today announced that because of the increased need for high-capacity and gigabit wireless solutions required by carriers, service providers, government and private network users, the company has further expanded its presence with new channel partners in the Middle East region.
BridgeWave is pleased to announce the addition of Alltel Advance Solutions, Atlas Telecom and Comtinu as reseller partners in the Middle East North Africa region. Based in Dubai, UAE, these companies were chosen as strategic partners due to their broad experience in selling, supporting and servicing wireless solutions, as well as their ability to quickly deliver BridgeWave's solutions to end users.
BridgeWave's high capacity gigabit wireless solutions are deployed in Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates, servicing the needs of service providers, mobile operators, government and enterprise users for the last seven years.
As mobile networks continue to evolve from legacy 3G to next-generation 4G/LTE standards, the need for cost-effective, high-capacity backhaul solutions are paramount to the operators' successful 4G implementation. Carriers and service providers such as Saudi Telecom (STC) and Kulacom are utilizing BridgeWave's gigabit wireless solutions to provide high-capacity backhaul to extend their mobile networks as well as quickly commission fiber extensions for business services.
Bandwidth-intensive applications such as video surveillance, medical imaging, financial transactions, and cloud computing require higher WAN/LAN backbone capacities. Government, enterprise and private networks users are discovering the benefits of implementing gigabit wireless solutions as opposed to trenching or leasing fiber. Using BridgeWave's wireless solutions, enterprise and government users such as The National Bank of Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi Customs, have achieved fiber-like performance in terms of throughput and latency, but without the expense of implementing fiber.
"As networks continue to evolve and bandwidth demands increase, gigabit wireless links are the ideal solution to enabling high-capacity network connectivity," said Augustino Lucenti, executive vice president of sales for BridgeWave Communications. "The value-proposition of our cost-effective high capacity links combined with the technical and logistics expertise of our partners will benefit our customers in the Middle East region."
BridgeWave will be joining partner Comtinu at GITEX Technology Week in Dubai from October 14-18. Please visit booth Z-H30 in Zabeel Hall to learn more about BridgeWave's ultra-high capacity GigE offerings.
