Simon W. Stamper, Area General Manager InterContinental Cairo Citystars, Holiday Inn Cairo Citystars and Staybridge Suites Cairo Citystars, announced the appointment of Mohamed El Kot as the Director of Revenue Management for InterContinental, Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites Cairo Citystars. Mohamed has a wide experience with InterContinental Hotels group. He joined InterContinental Pyramids Park in 2000 as Reservations manager, in 2002 he was appointed Front Office Manager at Crowne Plaza Kuwait, and then he was promoted to the position of Revenue Manager to become the first Revenue Manager of the hotel since its opening. His most recent position was Area Director of Revenue Management for InterContinental Hotels Group Northern Gulf Area, at Crowne Plaza Kuwait where he applied the revenue management concept for the SPA within InterContinental Hotels group Middle East and Africa region and developed the revenue team within the hotel and other InterContinental hotels. In his new position, Mohamed will be responsible for the Revenue department for InterContinental Cairo Citystars, Holiday Inn Cairo Citystars and Staybridge suites Cairo Citystars and he is aiming to maximize revenue through development and implementation of effective IHG policies and pricing strategies based on future demand forecasts.
