A new book by the American writer Mike Evans, the expert on Middle East affairs, reveals that former American President Jimmy Carter gave US$ 500 million to the so-called freedom fighters that belong to the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) and that have formed the Taliban and al-Qaeda, as he puts it. Evans, who works for The Wall Street Journal, says in his book entitled ‘Liberal Left and Global Chaos': “The Carter / Obama plan will not work. Those fighters launched 9/11 and other attacks decades after Carter left office. It is important for Americans to understand that it was Jimmy Carter who made those radical Islamists what they are today, and it is he who is trying to convince President Obama of the same dangerous plan for the Middle East.” He adds: “The Carter / Obama plan will support the terrorist regimes that have killed scores of Americans in all parts of the world, and it will divide Jerusalem to establish an Arab capital.” Evans also says Carter gave Ayatollah Khomeini US$ 150 million to overthrow the Shah's regime.
