According to the students at the Faculty of Medicine of 6th of October University, the results of the first round of the first round of exams have been rigged in favor of some students. A number of students and their parents said: "The administration has changed the result in favor of the sons and daughters of a number of renowned professors at the Faculty of Medicine, some of whom work for the same college."
The University announced the results on January 26 and then withdrew them two days later. The results were announced on Feb. 2 after they had been changed in favor of some professors' children. Talaat Rihan, the University's Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies, said: "Results are changed in all colleges and universities, as some students' marks may be increased because of complaints regarding previously-declared results."
Speaking to Al-Masry Al-Youm, Rihan said it is not in the interest of the university administration to favor a student over another. In addition, the administration does not intervene in the results, especially as they are jointly declared by the professors of Al-Qasr Al-Aini and 6th of October faculties of medicine." "If the university is willing to favor professors' children, it would do so before the results are announced" he added.
