The Committee of One Hundred, which was formed to demand re-election for the Bar Association, is preparing a black list of the lawyers who were involved in thwarting the last elections through appeals and complaints. It called for bringing to account those who have betrayed the Association and colluded against it. In a vigil before the Bar Association yesterday, the committee members called for stopping all attempts to impose judicial receivership of the Association, and for nominating a true counsel that represents all lawyers. They also threatened to organize a general strike all over the country, and to boycott all court hearings if their demands are not met. They also decided to organize vigils every Thursday until this happens. Committee member Ali Qasha told Al-Masry Al-Youm: “We feel that receivership is coming,” pointing out that the Association is dead, and that the lawyers do not get any services.
