The butane gas crisis has escalated in most parts of the country yesterday when the price of a cylinder reached LE 25 pounds in Giza. In an attempt to deal with the crisis, Minister of Social Solidarity Dr. Ali Meselhy said any dealer that wears no authorized tag would be punished.
He said he has provided 1.18 million additional cylinders per day, and that the black market was behind the crisis.
