Six months after delivering some 2,000 pieces of land as part of the project "Build Your House" in 6th of October City and shortly before handing 7,000 more, the Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Development Ahmed el-Maghreby decided to solve the first problems of the beneficiaries of this project. He called on 6th of October authority to supply the area with four trucks equipped with water tanks for free every day to help the beneficiaries build their houses. At the same time, he called on the authority to ban residents' cars. According to some beneficiaries speaking to Al-Masry Al-Youm, few days ago those cars were unexpectedly provided for free after some Bedouins and contractors had been controlling water, holes and construction materials and had therefore pushed the price of a single car up to LE 500. For the second time, Minister al-Maghreby replied to the SMSs sent by the Build Your House association to thank him for the water. Meanwhile, the minister gave his green light to the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) financing the double railway linking 6th of October to Giza. The line was activated last week. NUCA will also set up a station close to the 6th October authority in front of Misr University for Science and Technology to serve the city's residential area. Eng. Mohamed Demerdesh told Al-Masry Al-Youm that the line would serve the residential area as well as the university students in the city and especially in the areas allocated to the "Build Your House" project.
