Security arrested some 80 persons who belong to the Salafist trend in Assiut two days ago and moved them to State Security Investigation. A security source said this measure comes within the follow-up of the religious and political activities before Bairam. They would be released within two days, the source told al-Masry al-Youm. Some Muslim Brotherhood members criticized the usage of worship places in settling scores. They said the government tries to compete with them even at these places. Assiut Governor Nabil el-Ezabi called for performing the Bairam prayers in the heart of Assiut city.
