Muhammad Kamal, member of the National Democratic Party (NDP) General Secretariat, denied early reports that the party is launching a campaign to promote Gamal Mubarak, the president's son, on the Internet. He said the party's website Sharek, or Participate, just aims at giving the chance for youths to chat with party and government officials. It is speculated that Gamal Mubarak run for president in the upcoming election. The Sharek site is seen by some as a form of online campaigning. Kamal also denied that the party pays salaries to the team in charge of the website, saying that they are all volunteers. Translated from the Arabic Edition.
