Hamdi Kandil told Al-Masry al-Youm that he got an offer from Al-Manar TV, the mouthpiece of the Lebanese Hezbollah, to present his talk show "Pencil' that the Libyan 'Al-Jamahiriya' channel has discontinued. But he said he is still under contract with the Libyan channel that is owned by Saif al-Islam, the son of Gaddafi. Kandil said he got the offer from the director of Al-Manar during the Conference of Arab Radio Broadcasts in Lebanon, after he delivered a speech on how the Arab satellite channels covered the brutal Israeli aggression on Gaza. He said his program was discontinued due to pressure from the Egyptian leadership.
