Dr. Mufid Shehab, Minister of Legal Affairs and Parliamentary Councils, said the security services got important information on the elements that blew up Al-Hussein last February. He told the Shura Council yesterday, that Major General Habib el-Adli, Minister of the Interior, yesterday told him about the information on this cell, which includes Egyptians and foreigners of different nationalities. He added that the Prosecution will be notified of this information in a few days. Safwat el-Sherif, the President of the Council, said time will reveal many details about Al-Hussein incident and its perpetrators. He praised the efforts of the security forces in rapidly arresting the culprits. In a related context, the Council condemned the bombing that took place in front of the Virgin Mary Church in Zeitoun on May10. A statement by Sherif warned of terrorist acts targeting the Egyptian national security and unity, calling for closing the terrorist websites, just like the Administrative Judicial Court ruled to close the pornographic websites. He said that some of the sites teach how to make a bomb with the most basic materials. He stressed the need to combat terrorism as the government combats pornography.
He said that to leave the sons of the homeland for these sites to brainwash is an unforgivable mistake, pointing out that citizens must be taught the culture of choice, which allows them to reject violence and intolerance, and opt for tolerance. Dr. Rifaat Al-Said, head of the Tagamu Party, said the seriousness of the recent terrorist incidents is that they seem to be carried out so easily that any child can do it. He called for a new wave to combat the new Islamized terrorism and for the clergy to face the ideas of the extremist groups. Abdel Moneim el-Aasar, President of the Green Party, rejected any act of terrorism aimed at Egypt's national unity. He was supported by Osama Shaltout, President of the Takafu Party, while Nagi Al-Shihabi, President of the Geel Party, praised the quick reaction by the security services. "What happened was but a trivial incident that cannot affect the image of Egypt," he said.
