The descendants of Cain
Published in Almasry Alyoum on 19 - 05 - 2009

I did not mean to export my fear of the state of violence prevailing in society to others. But I wanted to scream so we notice as the case is transformed from a state of newspaper talk through different media and after that violence becomes a reality we are dealing with consent and acceptance.

Some asked me for a solution as if the change of the behavior of a peaceful society and a religious community to a negative violent one is mediocre. As for me what is needed first is to understand what is happening, and then involve the community in it which each of its scientists and specialists who will formulate the path of confrontation and return.
In Al-Masry Al-Youm many letters struck me, but I only have limited space, so I am compelled to be satisfied with the opinion of two friends and to apologize to all others.
The fact is that the phenomena of random murder, which we now live among us makes us fear our shadows under the sun, with the same degree of fear that haunts us from our imagination during a full moon!
But if we went to the research and study of this phenomenon compared with the time when life involved only six human beings, we find that the proportion of murders is less than the current, when Abel killed his brother Cain, after he liked his wife and wanted her for himself.
It is known that Eve got pregnant twice first with the twins: Abel and Aklima, and also the second twins: Hubayl and Lyutha. Abel married the less beautiful Lyutha and Hubayl married the most beautiful Aklima. So Cain got angry with him and killed his brother to win both sisters the beautiful and the ugly at the same time. Greed, hatred and force and what have you equally in terms of the Arabic language!!
What about now when the population has surpassed 6 billion people. They inherited Qabil's hatred and his greed, madness, corruptness and forcefulness, and their genes have yielded more strains of malice and greed from their father Cain!
On the other hand, the phenomenon of indiscriminate killings, in which we live now, cannot be attributed to poverty and security and social problems, especially if we remember the killing of Susan Tamim and the perpetrators, or the accident of the man who killed his wife and his two sons in El-Nozha, or children killing their parents for inheritance, or the killing of the unfaithful husband or wife, as cheating spouses are many!
Finally, care is a must, and fear is necessary, but certainly when man has failed to carry life forth and the world became darker, and we have become more vulnerable to the brutal and unjustified killings, but they are the result of hatred and greed, however  to people of faith and belief in God, that is the person missing amongst us. .. Will he return?!
Saeed Salem
I say the reasons are the deviations first at the state level I ask: Sir, why was the curriculum in religious education reduced in school curricula with the excuse that it is not borne by many students?
Why, Sir, are there school buildings, classrooms and all activities but no house of worship in schools as we had before?
Sir, are there not guidance teachers trained to transform school violence towards a positive attitude?
As for mosques, then: Why shut them down after each prayer for fear of extremism or is it fear of the Enlightenment?
Come and enter with me, please you are invited to visit the family of an educated Egyptian father and mother. On any morning does the father awaken his children to pray or does he fear they will catch cold or anything else?  Order your family to pray and be patient with them, only a few are interested in teaching their children prayer from a young age!
Come sir to go to work with them: the father leaves the house nearly all day and when he is back he has no energy, or is just something taken for granted or one of the obligations we have, without even a good word or a gesture of tenderness to make it bearable, because he is tired from working outside, he has no time to direct his children or follow-up.
Then the means of communication with the outside world from their homes: satellites are obsessive, and arts in the shape of crimes is leading to a state of apathy and an increase in nervousness and stress. The taste of happiness has left the human mouth, and there is nothing but bitterness.
This is besides the news of many of our wars has led to apathy at the sight of blood and that is justified by killing and war and lack of confidence in the institutions.
This is the spider's web and the one who chose the name did not err, and the virtual community and what the individual does has become apart from people, even if he is there he resides in his body only. People have become nervous and grumpy.
Because they do not find room to breathe, he is tied to his livelihood and its humiliations: a sense of powerlessness as a result of price rises, lack of resources and an increase in consumption and lack of labor, the disappearance of all amenities which makes it a provocative thing.
Advertisements for products and places and resorts and chalets and evening outings, and the viewer does not have the price of food for his children. This is besides the forgery in everything that's beautiful and offending beauty and making ugliness palatable. The absence of justice and the slow process of litigation. Sir violence is caused by the frustration experienced by the individual.
However, these reasons do not justify the loss of an innocent spirit, but all of us more concerned for their life and their children, and do not depend on the security institutions to maintain our security which is removed from the protection of power.
