Cairo - Egyptian expert of foreign affairs Alaa Hamed said that Trump's call to Sisi reflects that the U.S President realizes the importance of relations with Egypt, saying that he was keen since the beginning of his presidential term to restore relations with Egypt after years of tension during Obama Administration. Hamed stressed that the U.S president faces internal war from the American institutions, including Congress, as they attempt to undermine his efforts on both internal and international sides. U.S President Donald Trump held a phone call with Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to discuss the ways to overcome the current challenges that face cooperation between the two countries in different fields. The call comes two days after the decision taken by U.S Congress to reduce $ 290 million from the aids allocated to Egypt Hamed described Trump's call to Sisi as an implicit apology to Egypt for the latest decision taken by the Congress. He said that the Congress decision contradicts with Trump's policy based on depending on Middle East allies to eliminate terrorist groups.
