Cairo - Egyptian Professor of Political Science Tarek Fahmy criticized the decision taken by U.S Congress to reduce $ 290 million of military aids provided to Egypt, saying that such a decision could undermine the efforts exerted by Trump's Administration to restore the U.S relations with its regional allies after years of tension during the era of U.S former President Barak Obama. Fahmy added that relations with the U.S. have been notably improved since Trump's inauguration in January, while other U.S institutions still keep their hostile position from Egypt. Fahmy added, "The decision to reduce the U.S aids is not limited to Egypt, while included other countries, such as Israel and Jordan." He added that they take into account the claims promoted by unofficial sources over violations attributed to the Egyptian government. He stressed the need for strong media arm that could respond to such baseless allegations.
