Cairo – Abdel Rehim Ali, Chairperson and Editor-in-Chief of Al-Bawaba News, mourned the brave Egyptian martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their homeland, Egypt. In the wee hours of Friday, July 07, 2017, a car bomb implanted near the security checkpoint and then detonated, followed by clashes with heavy artillery and mortar shells, killing and injuring a number of military personnel, including Colonel Ahmed Mansi, commander of the "Shock troop" Battalion 103, as well as a number of militants. Ali offered heartfelt condolences to the armed forces and the Egyptian people at large. "Once again we bid farewell to our martyrs. I know that it will not be the last, but we are victorious in the end, God willing," he mournfully said. "God- Almighty- says what means: "And that day the believers will rejoice at the victory of Allah. He gives victory to whom He wills, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. Very soon this great nation will return to its heyday of glory and have its due position among the community of nations. We will then sit in evening gatherings, remember our fallen martyrs whose lives were cut short in service of their beloved nation. We will never cease to mourn them, supplicate God's mercy on their souls and rejoice at what God will be giving us of victory." Ali continued: "But today we will not grieve; rather we will get angry and angry, and justify our anger with several reasons so that we will be coming back to avenge our wronged martyrs. May they all rest in peace and tranquility."
