Cairo - Egypt's Fatwa House (or Dar Al-Ifta) announced on Saturday that Eid Al-Fitr will start on Sunday, June 25, 2017, according to astronomical observations. Dar Al-Ifta, Egypt's state religious institution, said that Sunday will mark the first day of Shawwal, the tenth month in the Islamic calendar. Eid Al-Fitr is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide to mark the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. Dar Al-Ifta congratulates the entire Arab and Islamic world on the advent of Eid al-Fitr, and sends best wishes to everyone of happy return of this year's feast full of joys and blessings.
