Cairo - Egypt's Al-Azhar condemned Paris terrorist attack attempt that took place in the famous Champ-Elysee on Monday. Al-Azhar's Grand Imam, Ahmed Al-Tayeb, expressed its strong dismay on the incident, emphasizing his disapproval of hate crimes, while reiterating his call for the need to coordinate international efforts to eliminate terrorism and rid the world of its dangers. The attacker was on the French security watch-list and was killed by French authorities after authorities called it a terrorist attempt. The attacker crashed a car carrying weapons and explosives into a police car; he was killed during the crash. Later, the police dragged him outside of his car.
