Khartoum - A Sudanese family whose son was a recruit in the Qatari army and killed during a battle in Yemen demanded that the Amir of Qatar, Tamim Bin Hamad pay the compensation money of their son which they have not received, even two years after his death. The father of Sudanese soldier, Mohamed Hamid Suliman, stated that the family has not received the financial rights of their son and appealed to the Emir of Qatar to intervene to end this matter. In November 2015, Qatar announced the death of its first soldier Mohamed Hamid Soliman who participated in the coalition forces in Yemen. The soldier is of Sudanese descent but was granted the Qatari nationality and was recruited in the Qatari army. The majority of soldiers in the Qatari army are not of Qatari descent.
