Cairo- Journalist Ahmed El Khatib who specializes in the affairs of Islamic groups said, "Terrorist thoughts have developed significantly and differently from the 50s, 60s and 80s" pointing out that terrorist groups are now turning to social media networks to recruit new members. During a phone interview with On Live satellite channel on Sunday, May 28, El Khatib stated that British media announced the presence of 23 thousand jihadists in the UK which marks a huge turn of events assuring the Egyptian state's point of view that not all terrorists are the ones who carry weapons. El Khatib pointed out that a terrorist is anyone who supports terrorism whether by carrying weapons or by funding or even by agreeing with terrorist operations. He stressed the duality of some European countries that do not consider the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization negating worldwide knowledge that the Muslim Brotherhood is in fact a terrorist group. El Khatib added, "President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi clearly defined what terrorism is and the world should know by now the true danger of terrorism."
