Tripoli – The Air Force of the Libyan National Army General Command, said in a statement, on Saturday, that its fighters carried out a joint operation with the Egyptian Air Force, on Friday evening, in Derna. According to the statement, the operation was successful and the losses suffered by Al-Qaeda terrorists targeted by the strikes were considerable, in both equipment and lives. In an address to the Egyptian people, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi announced that the air force was targeting terrorist headquarters in Libya today in response to the brutal attack on the Copts bus trips in Minya. The General Command of the Libyan army announced that the Egyptian army's strikes in Derna were executed in coordination with the Libyan Air Force. Egyptian forces launched 6 air strikes on the headquarters of terrorist groups in Derna, Libya, after confirming their participation in Minya's incident which resulted in 29 deaths and 25 injuries. The Libyan Air Force added that the operation comes within the framework of a series of operations in preparation for the entry of the ground forces of the Libyan army to the city of Derna and free it from the terrorists.
