Dubai- The Emirates Human Rights Society has announced the establishment of the executive council of the 'Coalition of Civil Society' to combat extremism, intolerance and hatred in the Arab region. The coalition will be directed by Mohamed Salem El Kaabi, Chairman of the Emirates Human Rights Society. The announcement was made yesterday during the regional conference titled ‘The Right of Children to Access Justice', organized in cooperation with The International Network for Children's Rights. Fourteen Arab countries and 200 Arab and international organizations took part in the conference that was held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dubai and will last till today. El Kaabi stated that the work of the coalition will include all Arab countries and aims at achieving several goals, most importantly developing the capacities of civil society associations in planning and implementing programs and strategies. These strategies are for rejecting and combating extremism, fanaticism and hatred, developing a unified strategy for the work of the associations affiliated with the coalition, as well as coordinating the efforts of civil society organizations and uniting the vision in combating extremism and hatred.
