New York— Ambassador Ahmed Farouk, Consul General of Egypt in New York, said that his invitation to the New York City Police Department (NYPD) on the occasion of the fasting month of Ramadan soon to begin (May 27), confirms that the Egyptian community is very engaged and significant in American society. He pointed out that the Egyptians have the ability to interact and interchange with Americans and build rapports with American institutions. Farouk added that the community members are always helpful and supportive of the consulate in many respects. They tend to take their own initiative to solve their problems within the community.
