Sinai (Egypt) - The Armed Forces spokesperson said that law enforcement forces of the Third Field Army continued their strikes against terrorist hideouts in Central Sinai. In a statement on Saturday, he added that the operation comes as part of efforts to weed out terrorist elements in Central Sinai. Three terrorist suspects were arrested during the operation, while explosive devices were destroyed. A hideout was also discovered where two automatic rifles, RPG missiles and ammunition were found. Troops found communication devices and C4 explosive materials, he added. The troops also found a pick-up truck and 10 motorbikes and destroyed nine farms of drugs set up on an area of nine feddans [unit of land measurement]. As much as three tons of drug were burned, added the statement.
