Sinai (Egypt) - Colonel Tamer El Rifai, the military spokesperson of the Egyptian armed forces announced on Sunday that the Egyptian army has successfully killed two terrorist radicals and arrested five suspects. In a statement today, the military spokesman added that the armed forces discovered and destroyed 15 terrorist dens, burned and destroyed 18 farms growing narcotic plants that were meant for distribution,, as well as seizing three motor bikes belonging to terrorist groups. It is worth noting that Egypt has been fighting Islamist insurgency based in Sinai since 2013. He added that security forces located west of the Ahmed Hamdy Tunnel (located under the Suez Canal) managed to seize a truck carrying 10 cases of raw materials used in manufacturing explosive devices while law enforcement forces of the Third Field Army continue to carry out operations aiming to eliminate terrorist and criminal groups.
